the month of september has evaporated out from under me. soaked up by a new and fabulous gig in the exhibitions department at the Denver Botanic Gardens. i am back in the blogging game for october and feeling a little like Chris in the Morning. but before i wax poetic i’ll share a few things of interest:
fall is the puuurrrrfect time for cat scarves and to fall into a good ol’ fashion debate happening right here in our backyard with the proposed work of christo and jeanne-claude that will span the Arkansas River. what’s to keep me warmer than a little more debate with calescent paradigm with guest blogger john moodie. and if you need some money the cycle starts again for starter grants with YesPleaseMore - also a pop-up shop selling the wares of the local talent here in Denver.
then there’s this one event that gets me beyond excited:

maybe i’ll see you there and we can talk about that exact shades those aspens turn in the fall…
I dig the cat scarves, but where’s Lil’ Man? He needs a photo shoot – maybe a sheer, saffron scarf, à la Christo?
And what’s this Chris in the Morning reference? I don’t understand.
Chris in the Morning = Northern Exposure. He’s the artist/DJ who waxes philosophic on the radio, making connections between ideas that are so large they are often hard to follow. Need I say more?
I used to watch Northern Exposure regularly. I just haven’t really thought about it in, like, fifteen years. That’s kind of a dusty reference to pull out of the attic, without further explanation, don’t you think?
