I ventured over to Limon, CO yesterday (about 80 miles east of Denver) to photograph a ground breaking ceremony for Cedar Point Wind Farm. (The day was so windy that I am going to have to scrape the dust off the sensor of my digital camera. Ugh.) Thank you to Bryan Hagar from Direct-Edit for bringing me along to the festivities.
An excerpt from the developer, Renewable Energy Systems America: “The Cedar Point Wind Energy Project, developed by RES Americas, is located approximately 80 miles east of Denver. Construction of the wind farm will begin shortly with substantial completion expected in late 2011. The wind farm will deliver electricity to the Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo), an Xcel Energy company, electricity transmission grid. The project will comprise 139 1.8 MW turbines and RES Americas will construct the wind farm and transmission line through engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract.html.”
